His international career started in 1991 before the NAFTA was signed by Canada, México and the United States. He conducted business operations in Asia, North America and Latin America, developing new markets for American corporations. His business approach was based on training and educating distributors and customers in seminars and workshops, many of which were designed and delivered by Dr. David Castañeda. He also utilizes a cultural and value-added approach to overcome obstacles while conducting complex negotiations in foreign countries.

Prior to becoming President and CEO of PARAGON Trading Corporation, Dr. David Castañeda Diaz built a successful career stretching more than 15 years in Washington, DC (USA) where he held leadership and executive roles in nonprofit organizations. Additionally, Mr. Castañeda developed a solid international career in sales and marketing working for major US Corporations in North America, Latin America and Asia.

Director of Operations, Mexico

Teresa Melchor Méndez, CPA, is Director of Operations (Mexico) and is responsible for the operations of PARAGON Trading Corporation, including business management, promotion of consulting services, market research for the design and development of new services, customer follow-up and support, government procedures, accounting and tax operations, among others.

Before joining PARAGON Trading Corporation, Julia Teresa worked for over 10 years in the construction industry, providing administrative, accounting, and operational support.
Her passion for finance and financial matters has led her to use investment instruments and apply financial planning and management techniques to increase the value of liquid resources, always seeking strategies that maximize ROI.
Unafraid of challenges or change, and with a clear vision for the future, Julia Teresa Melchor has also been an entrepreneur and successfully launched ventures involving the retail sale of products. She is responsible for sales performance, supplier selection, and providing personalized customer service, achieving repeat sales. These experiences have allowed her to develop essential skills in modern business, such as attention to detail, confidentiality, and the proper handling of work activities in situations of pressure or stress. Due to her dedication and personal commitment to her work and the company, her strong sense of responsibility, and her vision for the future, Julia Teresa has had a promising career that has allowed her to work in Human Resources management, Administration, and, today, in international business management as Director of Operations in Mexico.
